Hemodynamic Lab
The Hemodynamic Laboratory of Therapis General is equipped with the most modern digital coronary angiographic – angiographic complex Artis Zee with PURE, with HDR Flat Detector.
The Laboratory is staffed by specialized medical and nursing personnel on 24-hour standby, as required by the needs of a modern Cardiology Unit.
It covers the needs of performing complex diagnostic and interventional procedures in the fields of interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and radiology.
The Laboratory offers diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic services.
Diagnostic Procedures:
Coronary angiography, left ventriculography and aortography
Right heart catheterization
Measurement of cardiac cavity pressures, calculation of cardiac output and vascular resistances
Pacemaker control and programming
Electrophysiological studies
Myocardial biopsy
Pericardial puncture for diagnostic purposes
Interventional and Therapeutic Procedures:
Primary angioplasty: is the most modern and effective method of treating acute myocardial infarction. The Catheterization Center is staffed by specialized medical and nursing personnel, who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to perform primary angioplasty (PCI).
Percutaneous coronary artery angioplasty (PCI)
Functional study of the coronary arteries using FFR and iFR methods
Imaging of the coronary arteries by intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)
Rotablation: modification of the atherosclerotic plaque with a rotablator system before stent placement
Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) to treat aortic stenosis in patients who are not suitable for open heart surgery.
Pericardial puncture to treat cardiac tamponade or significant pericardial effusion
