Urology

The Urology Department is equipped with modern equipment and highly trained medical staff. The diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that can be performed in the Clinic cover the full spectrum of urological diseases.

Specialized outpatient clinics operate daily for the better service of patients (Clinics for prostate diseases, erectile dysfunction and infertility, gynecological urology, urinary incontinence).

The Urology Department performs the following diagnostic urological tests on a daily basis: urethrocystoscopy, ureteroscopy, ureter catheterization, ascending pyelography, prostate biopsy with ultrasound guidance, urodynamic study.

Special emphasis is placed on oncology, focusing on early diagnosis and timely and correct treatment. All modern surgical oncology procedures are performed, including:

• Transurethral resection of bladder tumors (TUR-T)
• Radical prostatectomy
• Radical cystectomy
• Radical nephrectomy
• Partial nephrectomy
• Radical nephroureterectomy
• Radical orchiectomy
• Radical penectomy

Open transvesical prostatectomy and transurethral prostatectomy (TUR-P) are performed, either with the classical method or with the new, fast, and safe TURis method (removal and vaporization of the prostate using plasma and bipolar energy).

Modern endourological techniques (ureterolithotripsy, cystolithotripsy) using laser are applied, resulting in the safe and effective fragmentation of stones without the need for open surgery.

Special emphasis is placed on early diagnosis with the goal of proper treatment and the prevention of recurrences.

This dysfunction of bladder filling or emptying is not solely due to an anomaly in the urinary system. It can be the clinical manifestation of a neurological condition, injury, or congenital abnormality. The diagnosis of the type of incontinence is made through urodynamic testing, a painless, short-duration examination that mimics urination. Incontinence treatment, both female (via sling placement) and male (via artificial sphincter placement), is performed in our clinic. Additionally, cystocele and pelvic floor prolapse are treated with mesh placement.

Emphasis is placed on the diagnosis and treatment of erectile dysfunction with medication or surgical intervention (penile prosthesis placement). Additionally, plastic surgery for penile curvature correction is performed.
