Pulmonology Laboratory
The Pulmonology Department of THERAPIS, in addition to the hospitalization of patients requiring clinical treatment, consists of:
Α. Respiratory Function Laboratory
Flow-volume curves, bronchial obstruction reversibility test, arterial punctures and respiratory gas study, oximetry, lung volumes and capacities test, assessment of diffusing capacity, maximum inspiratory and expiratory mouth pressures, 6-minute walk test, bronchial hyperreactivity test.
Β. Bronchoscopic laboratory
Diagnostic bronchoscopy with collection of the appropriate samples (cytological, histological, bronchial lavage, immunological study of bronchoalveolar lavage). Therapeutic bronchoscopy.
