Gastroenterology - Endoscopy

In Therapis General, there is a standard and specialized Gastroenterology – Endoscopy Department, which covers the whole spectrum of modern Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with a fully equipped Endoscopy Department.

The following diagnostic and interventional procedures are performed in the department:

• Diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the upper digestive tract (esophagus, stomach, duodenum).
• Diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the small intestine.
• Diagnosis and treatment of the lower digestive tract diseases (colon, rectum).
• Diagnosis of esophageal motility disorders by high-resolution esophageal manometry (HRM – High Resolution Manometry).
• Diagnosis of episodes of gastro-esophageal reflux (24-hour wired pachymetry – 24hr pHmetry).
• Diagnosis of diseases of the upper and lower digestive tract without the use of endoscopes – Capsule Endoscopy
• Cauterization of upper and lower digestive vascular neoplasms using Argon Plasma Coagulation (APC).
• Breath test study for the detection of Helicobacter pylori (Urea Breath Test).
• Study and application of new endoscopic techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of large-sized neoplasms of both upper and lower digestive tract.
