The treatment of bladder stones is done using diurethral cystolithotripsy with the use of High Power Laser.Without an incision through the urethra with a special atraumatic tool under direct vision, the endourologist approaches the stone and pulverizes it with the use of the Laser. The comparisons are removed directly from the instrument so that the patient is not inconvenienced postoperatively by urinating stones.

The patient in the majority of cases can be discharged the same evening and return to work immediately.

A bladder stone usually coexists with prostatic hyperplasia, i.e. the enlargement of the prostate causing obstruction and is responsible for the symptomatology of urination and also for the lithiasis. It is important to inform the patient that the definitive solution to the problem of lithiasis will be the simultaneous treatment of hyperplasia by performing a diuretic prostatectomy, either with the TURis method or with the HOLEP (High Power Laser) method, giving a definitive solution to both the patient’s problems of lithiasis and hyperplasia of the prostate in one operation.
